Sleep Support is made from a unique combination of natural ingredients that provide support for a good night’s sleep without unpleasant side effects. The synergistic blend of highest quality European Standardized Herbs helps the body fall asleep, stay asleep and awake refreshed.
There are many causes of sleep disorders and many factors that contribute to their severity. The high incidence of stress and the impact of the stress of everyday life on sleep quality and quantity is well documented. A major concern is the ability to avoid the feelings of sedation, drowsiness and "morning after" fatigue that often accompany taking many over-the counter sleep aids.

According to the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, nearly 70 million Americans suffer from some type of sleep disorder. The most common is insomnia.
Insomnia is defined as difficulty in sleeping, the inability to fall asleep or to remain asleep long enough to feel rested, especially when this is a problem that continues over time. Sleep disorders are related to many serious health conditions. These conditions include hypertension, diabetes, stroke and cardiac related death. Obesity and depression are also closely associated with sleep disorders.
People in pain often have a harder time sleeping. The lack of sleep contributes to the pain and pain contributes to the lack of sleep. Sleep Support can help stop this downward spiral and help get the body to regain balance to better manage pain.
"Sleep is something that most of us take for granted, but sleep disorders are more common and more hazardous than many people realize," said Dr. Iwona Rawinis, Medical Director of The Center for Sleep Medicine at New Island Hospital.
There are several common symptoms of sleep disorders. These symptoms include trouble falling or staying asleep, snoring, irregular breathing during sleep and feeling unrefreshed or lethargic during waking hours.
There are many causes of sleep disorders and many factors that contribute to their severity. The high occurrence of stress and the impact of the stress of everyday life on sleep quality and quantity are well documented.
Many individuals are looking for an all-natural, safe and effective way to help them get the sleep they need. A major concern is that these individuals also want to avoid the feelings of sedation, drowsiness and "morning after" fatigue that often accompany the taking of many over-the counter sleep aids and prescription medications.
Because of this BLUESPRING is now offering an all natural remedy called BLUESPRING Sleep Support. It is a unique formula containing natural ingredients that help provide healthy support for a restful good night's sleep – WITHOUT unpleasant side effects including the next day hangover feeling. All it takes is one capsule per night.
Researchers say Suntheanine may improve sleep quality and works even if your child is taking stimulant (ADHD) medication. A newly published University of British Columbia study has found that giving supplements containing Suntheanine L-theanine may help improve a child's sleep quality without significant side effects. It was noted that the benefits were consistent among children regardless of whether they were also taking stimulant medication.
"These improvements were compelling and significant," commented lead researcher Michael R. Lyon, M.D., who points out that additional research is needed. "While L-theanine has been studied for its effects on stress, mood and cognition in non- ADHD subjects, this is the first report of its effects in children with ADHD. Given the importance of sleep in assisting children with attention, memory, emotion and behavior in the daytime, it warrants investigation to determine whether L-theanine's effects on sleep are long-term and whether they translate into measurable positive changes in ADHD symptoms."
Melatonin, a hormone made by the pineal gland in the brain, helps control sleep and wake cycles. Very small amounts of it are found in foods such as meats, grains, fruits, and vegetables. It can also be bought as a supplement.
The body has its own internal clock that controls the natural cycle of sleeping and waking hours. Normally, melatonin levels begin to rise in the mid- to late evening, remain high for most of the night, and then drop in the early morning hours.
Natural melatonin levels slowly drop with age. Some older adults make very small amounts of it or none at all. Adding Melatonin in supplement form may help the body feel drowsy and aid in falling asleep.
The body needs Magnesium for many reasons including healthy bones and teeth. Low levels of magnesium can lead to insomnia and other sleep disorders. Adding magnesium to your daily supplement routine can bring those levels up and aid in getting a good night's sleep.
Often called the natural sleeping pill, vitamin B-6 was discovered in the early 1930's by researchers who were conducting nutritional studies on laboratory mice. Instead, they found a substance that cured skin disease in the laboratory mice. They named this substance vitamin B-6. Chemically known as pyridoxine HCl, vitamin B-6 plays a vital role in both the quantity and quality of sleep experienced throughout the night. Those with a B-6 deficiency may experience insomnia as well as poor sleep quality; vitamin B-6 is vital to the production of serotonin, the element responsible for calming the mind in preparation for sleep.
A magnesium deficiency has been repeatedly linked to chronic insomnia and poor sleep quality. Magnesium is integral to the proper function of the motor nerves in the body. Motor nerves transport electrical signals from the brain to the muscles so that the limbs know what they are supposed to do. A low level of magnesium, which is common in the United States due to poor dietary habits, interrupts this process and causes agitation, which is counterproductive to sleep. Particularly when used in combination with calcium, magnesium has been shown efficacious in reducing insomnia and increasing sleep quality.
Because it is a naturally occurring substance in the body, melatonin has the least side effects of any sleep aid. Melatonin production is dormant during daylight hours; melatonin production starts when darkness falls, and melatonin production peaks around 2 a.m. Thereafter, melatonin production gradually decreases until the next evening. Some medications, such as Inderal, which is taken for high blood pressure, can inhibit production of melatonin. Some studies have shown melatonin to be effective in restoring the sleep patterns and sleep quality of individuals who are 50 years old and older.
An amino acid found in green tea leaves, L-Theanine has been shown to smooth out brain waves, resulting in a calm, sleep-inducing attitude. It has been shown to be efficacious in increasing the quality of sleep for men and women of all ages as well as reducing blood pressure and cortisol levels. It has been proven by the National Institute of Health to reduce ADHD in young boys. In addition, L-Theanine is an antioxidant and antidepressant. Taken in moderate doses, L-Theanine has no side effects and can significantly improve sleep quality.
Passionflower Aerial Extract
Formerly approved by the FDA for use as an over-the-counter sleep remedy, passionflower aerial extract was removed from the market in 1978 because its safety and efficacy had not yet been proven in clinical trials. However, passionflower remains available as a holistic sleep aid in three forms: tea, tablet or tincture. Historically, this flower has been used since 1569 for the treatment of sleep disorders as well as anxiety, stress and ADHD. Passionflower has few side effects, works well in combination with other substances and is generally considered safe and effective when taken in traditional doses; passionflower can increase both quality and quantity of sleep.
Valerian Root Extract
Popular since the 2nd century, valerian root has been used to treat insomnia, anxiety and a myriad of other ailments. Many users reported an increase in both the quality and the quantity of sleep. A popular misconception is that the prescription drug Valium is obtained from the valerian root. Valium is a synthetic drug and a controlled substance. Valerian is a holistic remedy and legally available for over-the-counter use. Although they react in similar ways on the brain, they are not the same substance. Valerian is available in tincture, tea, tablet or capsule and is considered safe for adults but should not be given to children.
