    What is Joint Support Formula?

Joint Support Formula by BLUESPRING is a 100% natural remedy which contains both herbal nutrients and extracts specifically chosen for joint mobility, cartilage health and healthy inflammatory response.

How Does it Help my Problem?

In order to answer this question you first must understand the complexity of maintaining healthy joints.

Joint Health is complicated. There are no simple solutions or quick fixes. In order to have well conditioned joints all of the chemistry that works in your body has to be just right. The interplay is complex, and you need the following to have a full range of motion:

    • Nutrient availability
    • Inflammation Control
    • Cartilage Repair
    • Maintenance of Synovial Fluid

Symptoms that warn that your joints may need help can often be the results of cartilage degeneration, increased inflammation and free radical production within the joints.

These symptoms are painful and aching joints resulting in stiffness and reduced movement.

If you cannot promote a balance between these – you will not have freedom of movement.

Healthy balance is crucial for the correct functioning of joints. Proper functioning is what gives you the freedom to move.

This is why Joint Support Formula is superior. It provides key tested Nutraceuticals to help:

    • Support a healthy inflammatory response
    • Facilitate cartilage building
    • Provide anti-oxidant support

What does all of this mean?

The chemistry has to be precise. The chemistry of the supplement has to be accurate in order to affect the body in a positive way.

In short, you need real science to meet a real challenge.

    Healthy Tips

Life is full of stress and strain. Joint Support can help.

However, it also makes sense to do all that you can to support your body to maintain fit joints and freedom of movement.

A balanced lifestyle is the best way to do this. This includes a diet of whole foods rich in essential nutrients – avoid processed foods full of additives and sugar.

Drink pure fresh water - plus add fruits and vegetables to your diet. Don’t worry about eliminating what you eat but focus on the healthy foods you can add. This will result in crowding out unhealthy processed foods.

Move your body in a low-impact way. Swimming and water aerobics are both good for the joints. Consider trying an elliptical instead of jogging – walking is always a considerable exercise that avoids strain.

Yoga and stretching will help warm up your muscles and ease you into exercise without strain on your joints.

Recent Studies Prove Traditional Remedies Work

Science is currently getting behind what conventional wisdom has known for years. There are at this moment in time many clinical studies verifying that natural remedies do support the body for healthy joint function.

“More than 150 scientific articles have been published investigating the anti-inflammatory effects of curcumin. Indian researchers recently confirmed this activity through molecular biology research (International Immunopharmacology, Dec 15, 2007)”

What Ingredients are in Joint Support Formula?

Some of the healthy ingredients found in Joint Support Formula by BLUESPRING have been used for hundreds of years as natural remedies to help the body support joint health. The effectiveness of this formula is due to the unique blend of highest quality ingredients.

Please take time to read down the page and understand why an ingredient can share the same name but give far different results. The descriptions give traditional use, medicinal use, reference to studies and foods they are naturally found in.

Bromelain is the name for an enzyme extracted from the stem of a bromeliad, most commonly a pineapple. Bromelain has strong pain relieving properties and has been shown to reduce levels of serum fibrinogen and is conducive to fibrinolysis. Some of the medicinal uses for bromelain include arthritis, bruises, burns, indigestion, edema, cancer treatment and prevention, circulatory disorders and pain relief. Although the extract of bromelain is taken from the stem of the pineapple, it is found throughout the fruit and can be consumed in that way. The chemicals in bromelain have been found to interfere with cancer cell growth and to slow blood clotting.

    Ginger Root Powder

Ginger Root Powder is the ground form of the pungent and very efficacious ginger root. Ginger has been used widely in traditional Asian medicine to alleviate a variety of medical issues. Ginger is known for its anti-inflammatory, antiemetic, anti-cancer and hypoglycemic properties. The anti-inflammatory properties of ginger have been shown in some studies to alleviate arthritis and chronic lower back pain. The reason for the effectiveness of ginger on inflammation is that the spice is able to affect the process of inflammation at a cellular level.

    Grape Seed Extract

Grape Seed Extract is a by-product of wine production through the grinding of excess grape seeds. The seeds are then used to make grape seed oil. Both the oil and the extract are used as a laxative, antacid, treatment for burns and ulcers and as a handwash. The extract is also useful as an antioxidant and helps reduce LDL levels. It is useful for joint health and arthritis healing because of its antioxidant properties, which helps eliminate free radicals. The primary food source for grape seed extract is red wine and grape seed oil.

    Niacin (Niacinamide)

Niacin (Niacinamide) is an important organic compound that turns food into energy and helps the functions of nerves, skin and the digestive system. Niacin is also known as vitamin B3 and is found in a variety of food sources including dairy, eggs, fish, lean meat, nuts, poultry, legumes and enriched bread. Niacin is a water soluble vitamin and is not stored in the body. Any excess niacin is flushed out of the body in the urine, which means that the vitamin needs to be consumed regularly to have a healthy effect.

    Pantothenic Acid

Pantothenic Acid is also known as vitamin B5 and is water soluble, which means the body does not store it. Pantothenic acid is found in a variety of plant and animal foods and is often used in supplement form in combination with other B vitamins. It has a long list of medical uses including treatment of allergies, asthma, carpal tunnel, respiratory issues, colitis and much more. It is also useful against such inflammatory conditions as arthritis, premenstrual syndrome, nerve pain and enlarged prostate.

Quercetin is found in foods such as apples, red onions, tea, capers, dill weed, watercress and buckwheat. It is known for its anti-histamine and anti-inflammatory properties. It also has strong antioxidant properties and thus helps eliminate free radicals. This aspect of quercetin makes it useful in cancer prevention and the healing of arthritic joints. It is somewhat difficult to get large amounts of quercetin purely through food sources. Therefore, the flavonoid is also marketed as an oral supplement. The highest amount of quercetin by far is found in capers, which are the strong tasting berries of the caper bush.

Get the Results you Expect with Nutraceuticals

These are not just any herbal nutrients – these are the highest quality tested ingredients classified into the Nutraceuticals category – this is defined as a purified or isolated part of the herbal nutrient or extract.

A purified and tested part of the nutrient can give results as long as it is standardized and produced the identical way each time.

The ingredient name does not guarantee the equivalent results as the studies – it must be the same isolated and standardized ingredient that the study referred to.

Figuring this out is not simple. That is why it is best to use the highest quality supplements made from standardized ingredients, or you will not get the results you expect.

More about the Ingredients and the Studies behind Them....

    • Glucosomine Sulfate – (naturally derived from the crab shell) studied for its ability to help support the production of good cartilage, the main structural component of joint tissue.

Glucosomine Sulfate is meant to help the body with regeneration of cartilage or to slow its destruction by natural aging processes. It is often used in conjunction with chondroitin sulfate.

Unlike chondroitin sulfate, which is taken from actual animal cartilage, glucosomine sulfate is taken from animal shell tissue and primarily from shellfish such as crab and shrimp. Glucosomine sulfate does not necessarily help with pain relief, however, and it is best paired with another anti-inflammatory drug or compound.

    • Chondroitin Sulfate – an important component of in condition cartilage, and also helps protect existing cartilage from water loss and breakdown by enzymes secreted during the inflammatory response BLUESPRING uses sulfated forms of glucosamine and chondroitin only.

Chondroitin Sulfate is often paired with glucosomine sulfate for the purposes of arthritis relief. Because chondroitin sulfate is a large part of the makeup of cartilage, it may have the ability to at least retard the cartilage degeneration that is a characteristic of arthritic conditions. The loss of chondroitin sulfate is a major reason for the development of arthritis. Chondroitin sulfate is present in animal cartilage that is sold for consumption, however, it is most commonly found in supplement form and paired with glucosomine sulfate.

Studies (most notably the GAIT study) have shown that these forms are more effective than glucosamine bound to hydrochloride (HCL). In addition, we use "fully reacted forms of Glucosamine Sulfate. This is the result of combining glucosamine HCL with Potassium sulfate to form glucosamine sulfate.

Buyer beware: Many products on the market only mix these two compounds into a tablet or capsule and “assume” the reaction will occur. Testing shows that this does not always happen!

GAIT Study; Glucosamine/Chondroitin Arthritis Intervention Trial (GAIT), Conducted by the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine at the National Institute of Health, NIH, NIH GAIT Study Supports Use Of Glucosamine And Chondroitin For Osteoarthritis Treatment. June 2010.

    • OptiMSM® – the purest and most bio-available form of MSM available. MSM is a source of the mineral sulfur which plays a significant role in formation and retention of well cartilage and other types of connective tissue. MSM may also help support a normal, healthy inflammatory response.

Opti-MSM is a precisely constructed version of MSM, which only naturally occurs in small quantities. MSM stands for Methyl Sulfonyl Methane and is usually available in either coarse flakes or fine crystals. Opti-MSM is one of the purest forms of MSM on the market and is certified for Kosher and Halal diets. MSM comes from DMSO. It is made via a controlled process of oxidation that uses no further chemicals.

Every lot is tested for water content, residual DMSO and heavy metals. It is made in a dedicated U.S.-based single-purpose facility which helps to eliminate the potential for cross-contamination and impurities.

    • Vitamin C, Manganese and L- Proline are all added for their synergistic effects. This is significant because they are all important cofactors for the combination required to build collagen, the main structural component of joint cartilage.

o Vitamin C is a nutrient regularly needed by the body to ward off scurvy. It is sometimes used in larger doses for healing purposes. However, an important fact to remember is that Vitamin C is not stored in the body. Instead, the body takes what it needs at a particular time and flushes out the rest. This makes large doses of Vitamin C fairly superfluous. A better method is to continue consuming Vitamin C throughout the day to keep the body using the nutrient. Vitamin C is helpful for arthritis and joint issues because it helps the production of collagen and flushes free radicals, which are damaging to joint health.

o Manganese is found in a variety of green vegetables such as kale, collard greens, mustard greens, spinach, chard and fruits such as pineapple, strawberries and raspberries. Manganese is an essential element to keep bones healthy, neutralize free radicals, which can cause inflammation, and maintain healthy nerves. Lack of manganese can manifest itself in bone loss, dizziness and overly high blood sugar levels among other things. Manganese can help in the prevention and treatment of various inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, allergies, asthma, premenstrual syndrome and multiple sclerosis. It is also helpful in treating heart disease, diabetes and epilepsy.

o L-Proline is an amino acid that combines with vitamin C to build collagen, which is the main element for the construction of tendons, muscles, veins, ligaments, arteries and more. L-Proline is also an osmoprotectant, which means that it helps cells survive stress. It is widely used in many pharmaceuticals and, because of its status as a building block for essential body structures, is also a helpful substance in supplements taken for arthritic conditions.

    • Curcumin C3 Complex® - the only turmeric selected by the NIH (National Institutes of Health), MD Anderson Cancer Center and UCLA for their clinical trials.

The “active” ingredient in tumeric is Curcumin and its more powerful derivatives called “curcuminoids”. Curcumin acts as a free-radical scavenger and antioxidant. There are a number of clinical studies completed or underway that are providing growing evidence of tumeric and/or curcumin’s therapeutic effects on pain relief, arthritis, and several types of cancer, tumors, Alzheimers, liver disorders, and depression.

Turmeric (Curcurmin) is known for its intense yellow-orange color that is one of the main ingredients in Indian curries and has also been used extensively as a dye for clothing, cosmetics and food. In traditional Indian medicine it is used for digestion and circulation. The primary active ingredient of turmeric is curcurmin and it has been found to exhibit anti-inflammatory properties, which makes it an effective supplement for arthritis. Turmeric extract has also been found to work just as well as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs on arthritic knee conditions. Virtually all curry powders contain turmeric and it can also be added to a variety of foods as its taste is very subtle and even bland.

    • Standardized Boswellia has been shown to support fit joint function and a normal, good inflammatory response

Boswellia, also known as Shallaki or Boswellia serrata - is a natural and safe herb. One element of the herb, Boswellic Acid, has been studied and appears to have natural anti-inflammatory properties. It has been used extensively in Ayurvedic medicine for joint support and to provide an overall sense of well-being. In several small clinical trials, Boswellia was tested on patients with arthritis, colitis, Crohn's disease or bronchial asthma with some reported positive impact.

    Frequently Asked Questions

I previously used your Joint Victory Plus and MSM Natural. Now that they have been replaced can you tell me the difference with Joint Support Formula?

I noticed that Joint Support Formula is a tablet, and I don’t like taking pills, what do you suggest?

How do I store this product?

I noticed that Joint Support Formula has 14 ingredients; do any of these have negative side effects?

Is Joint Support Formula approved by the FDA?

How does Joint Support compare to other products on the market?

How long should I use Joint Support before I can feel results?

I previously used your Joint Victory Plus and MSM Natural. Now that they have been replaced can you tell me the difference with Joint Support Formula?

Joint Support Formula contains some of the same ingredients as Joint Victory Plus. These include the two key ingredients:
    • Boswellia
    • Turmeric (Curcurmin)

In addition it contains the only ingredient in MSM Natural which is Opti-MSM.

By taking the best of both and adding 11 more vitamins and herbs to make the product work even better we have lowered the dosage and the costs to our customers.

More Savings – Less Pills to take – Greater Value

This insures that BLUESPRING continues to meet our goal to “Under Promise and Over Deliver”

I noticed that Joint Support Formula is a tablet, and I don’t like taking pills, what do you suggest?

Since most of our customers started with our Super Blue Stuff topical pain relief cream, we hear this often. There are many who don’t like taking pills.

However, we have found that Joint Support Formula can help your body achieve a healthy balance from the inside while Super Blue Stuff will relieve your pain topically.

If you read the directions for use, you will note that you only need to take 3 tablets daily for a limited amount of time. Then you can cut down on the dosage and take less for maintenance and prevention.

For the few months that you will need 3 per day we suggest that you grind the tablet with a mortar and pestle or crush it with the back of a spoon. Then it can be sprinkled on your food and taken more easily than a whole tablet.

Another alternative will be to break the tablet in half making it easier to swallow with your meals.

It is our opinion that if you can make this work for a while, then the benefits will be worth it.

How do I store this product?

Store it in a cool dark place away from direct sunlight or heat. It does not need to be refrigerated. Keep the lid tightly sealed to avoid premature oxidation.

I noticed that Joint Support Formula has 14 ingredients; do any of these have negative side effects?

After extensive clinical research on each individual ingredient, there have been no adverse side effects reported; it is also very easy on the stomach. However, if you are allergic to Shell Fish, we do advise you to consult with your doctor before taking this supplement. If you have particular questions regarding your own unique situation and medications, it is best to consult with your personal doctor.

Is Joint Support Formula approved by the FDA?

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) oversees guidelines for all food and drug products. Joint Support Formula is an herbal dietary supplement.

The FDA has guidelines for labeling, and health education called the Dietary Supplement Health Education Act (DSHEA).

BLUESPRING is a registered FDA labeler, and all of our products are manufactured in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certified plants.

This guarantees the highest quality which includes consistency, stabilized potency and continuing reliability.

How does Joint Support compare to other products on the market?

It is the combination of the ingredients that synergistically produces the best results. Studies show that Chrondroitin alone does not perform well even though it is well advertised. Sulfated Chondroitin produces the best results. However, the overall best performance is with a balanced formula of proven ingredients. In Europe where they understand natural medicine much better, they always use lower dosages than US suggestions. Sometimes less is more, but balance is the most important.

How long should I use Joint Support before I can feel results?

Many feel results within days. For some it is a more gradual response. Most feel positive improvement by three to six weeks. Bodies are different and react individually. It is advised you stay with the recommended dosage to get the very best results. You may find that after a while you can reduce your dosage and still receive the beneficial results. This is when you can experiment with cutting back the dosage and just take a smaller amount regularly for maintenance and prevention. We find that for absolute best results it is best to drink a full 8oz glass of water at the time you take your tablets.
