Back to Super Blue Stuff OTC
Q:What is the difference between Super Blue Stuff OTC and Super White
Stuff OTC?
A:Super White Stuff OTC uses the same great formula as our Super Blue Stuff
OTC line of pain relief cream. While our Super Blue Stuff OTC product contains
the pleasant fragrance of peaches with undertones of peppermint and .5% blue
dye, our Super White Stuff OTC does not contain any added fragrance or
dye making it a more natural product.
Q: What is the difference between Blue Stuff, Super Blue Stuff, Super
Stuff and Super Blue Stuff OTC?
A.
- Blue Stuff was the original “blue” name for our product as well as the
name of the original company that manufactured it.
- After several months with this name the ingredients were modified and slightly
improved and the name was changed to Super Blue Stuff.
- Super Stuff had has similar ingredients to Super Blue Stuff but without
the fragrance or coloring (hence no “blue” in the name).
- Super Blue Stuff OTC is the result of slightly modifying the ingredients of Super
Blue Stuff to meet all FDA guidelines as an Over-The-Counter (OTC) pain relief
product. The main difference is a slightly higher menthol level.
Q:What is new about Super Blue Stuff OTC Pain Relief
Cream with Emu Oil?
A:Packaging and Look:
- New Blue Spring Logo
- New updated packaging (hard for imitators to copy)
- Easier for you to recognize Blue Spring the next time you see us
- All Blue Spring packaging will be changed to the same look through 2007
and 2008
Slightly updated formula:
- Blue Spring Boosted the factor of Natural Herbs by a factor of up to 10
each
- German Chamomile has been added back. This was in the original favorite
formula. It is an herb that has been used by herbalists for hundreds of years
because of helping the body work better with its healing and anti-inflammatory
properties.
- The level of MSM has been raised by approximately 80%
- The menthol amount has been balanced to avoid an overly cold or burning
sensation. However – Super Blue Stuff OTC Pain Relief Cream is just as effective
or more so than ever.
- Abscorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C Ester and Essential Fatty Acids) has been
boosted by a factor of 10.
- Arnica has been removed because it caused a burning sensation to some of
the Blue Spring customers
- Capsicum Oleoresin has been removed because it was at such a low level
it had no effect
- Glucosamine – a favorite in the original formula has been added back. Glucosamine
has been proven in numerous double blind, placebo-controlled studies to aid
the body to work better by easing the pain of arthritis. Glucosamine has
also been shown to aid the body in the rehabilitation of cartilage and slow
down the progression of osteoarthritis.
Super Blue Stuff OTC Pain Relief Cream with Emu Oil is now even more
Natural:
- Parabens (methylparaben and propylparaben) and Diazolidnyl Urea (all used
as preservatives) have been removed.
- Natural Vitamin E and Natural Grape Seed Oil Extract are now used as preservatives.
- Disodium EDTA (a sodium salt) and 2-Phenoxethanol (an oily liquid used
to prevent bacteria) are also used in small amounts as preservatives. These
are health friendlier ingredients than what they replaced.
- Sodium Laurel Sulfate – used as a cleansing agent- was replaced with a
more natural (bean derived) Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate
- Blue Dye was reduced by 99.5%, however SuperBlue Stuff OTC Pain relief
Cream with Emu Oil is still blue. Why? Because the Blue Spring customers
love it. Blue is a soothing, peaceful and therapeutic color.
Q: How did you get the name "Blue Stuff"?
A. When the product was first introduced the color blue was chosen because
of its soothing psychological effect. It was given the name of A.J.'s Balm
(after A.J.'s restaurant that the inventor, Jack McClung, owned at the time
he first sold the product). After the product became so popular that the
restaurant was closed, the name was changed to Emu-gesic Balm. A female customer
called from the East Coast and tried to order it. She was unable to remember
the rather difficult name of the product and said, "Just send me some of that blue stuff. Why don't you make it simple and just call it Blue Stuff?" And
Jack, always one to know a good idea when he heard it, changed the name of
the product just in time for the world to hear about it.?

to Super Blue Stuff OTC?
A. No. Bluespring would like to make sure you are aware of the following:

- Similar sounding names are meant to confuse consumers into thinking they
are the same as Blue Stuff, Super Blue Stuff or Super Blue Stuff OTC ,
but they are not the same. (We at Bluespring know this because customers
sometimes
try to return some of these similar sounding products to us because the
customer has purchased due to confusion).
- When Blue Stuff became famous, many companies put out similar sounding products to try to get consumers to try them, thinking they were the same as Blue Stuff.
- Some of these products smell bad and others separate into oil and dark goop after sitting.
- The biggest concern that Bluespring has is that if our customer buys one of these other products but THINKS they bought OUR product, and then they will be unhappy with the results.
- Our customer satisfaction rate is extremely high and we want to keep it that way.
